Recruitment of Airmen Job Openings in Indian Air Force - 2014

Indian Air Force has released notification for unmarried male candidates for the posts of  Airmen (Group X & Group Y) in designated Districts of State of Odisha. Eligible 10+2 passed candidates can get application form from the website indianairforce.nic.in. Other details like required age, qualifications, processing fee, method of selection are mentioned below.

Air Force Vacancy Details
Name of the position: Airmen

1) Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades:

Qualifications: 
i). Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Or ii). Passed Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute with minimum 50% marks in overall aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.

2) Group ‘Y’ (For Medical Assistant only) Trade
Qualifications:

Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Age Limit: 
Candidates should be born between 01 February 1995 to 30 June 1998 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.

Scale of Pay: During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training,
 (a) Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Rs. 24,900/- per month (approx.) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 43,940/- per month (approx). 
(b) Group ‘Y’ (For Medical Assistant only) Trade. Rs. 20,500/- per month (approx) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 38,720/- per month (approx). 

Indian Air Force Selection Procedure for Airmen:
1) WRITTEN TEST: 
Written test will be objective type and question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English Paper as per the details given below: -
(a) Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Duration of the written test will be 60 minutes and will be conducted in English, Physics and Mathematics as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE. 
(b) Group ‘Y’ (For Medical Assistant only) Trades. Duration of the written test will be 45 minutes
and will be conducted in English as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE and Reasoning & General 
Awareness (RAGA). 
CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day.

2) PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT): 
All candidates who pass the written test are to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PFT consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates will also have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoesand shorts.

3) INTERVIEW: 
Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be interviewed. Working knowledge of English is a prerequisite.

4) MEDICAL EXAMINATION: 
Candidates who qualify in the interview will be medically examined in the month of January 2015. 

Registration Schedule: Eligible candidates are required to fill the Registration Form (typed on A4 size paper) format as given in the notification and report to registration venue along with duly filled registration format and original documents. The Registration for the Recruitment Rally will be done at 9 Airmen Selection Centre, Near Rajdhani College, Baramunda, Bhubaneswar (Odisha) from 0800 Hr to 1300 Hr as per the following schedule.

12 October 2014: Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Khurda, Nuapada, Puri, Rayagada, Sonepur And Sundergarh Districts of State Of Odisha
