Naval Dockyard Mumbai has released notification for the posts of  Apprentices . Eligible graduates can get application form from the website indiannavy.nic.in and apply latest by 15.10.2014. Other details like required age, qualifications, processing fee, method of selection are mentioned below.

I. One Year Training:
1. Mechanist: 25
2. Fitter: 35
3. Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance: 25
4. Instrument Mechanic: 10
5. Ref & A/C Mechanic: 05
6. Electroplater: 05
7. Welder: 15
8. Painter General: 30
9. Mason (BC): 10
10. IT & Electronic system Maintenance: 10
II. Two year Training
1. Diesel Mechanic: 25
2. Foundryman: 05
3. Mechanic Radio & Radar: 10
4. Power Electrician: 20
5. Shipwright Steel: 35
6. Plumber/ Ship Fitter: 10
7. Pipe Fitter: 05
8. Shipwright Wood: 15
9. Rigger: 15
10. Sheet Metal Worker: 15

Educational Qualification: Matriculation Standard X with a minimum of 55% marks & ITI Examination in relevant field with aggregate of 65% marks.

Age limit: Born or after 1st April 1994 and on or before 1st April  2001. Relaxation of upper age will be available for SC/ST.

Mode of Selection: Preliminary selection on the basis of marks obtained in Matric & ITI Examination. Candidates in the preliminary list will be called for written test  in Dec 2014 / Jan 2015. Candidates in interim merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination, will be called for interview Feb/ Mar 2015.

2. SSC / Matriculation certificate in proof of date of birth.

5. Certificate of PH ( If applicable )
6. Certificate from employer ( If son or daughter of Naval Civilian or Defence Employee)
7. Charcter Certificate from last studied institute.
